DIY KID’S ROOM IDEAS
Decorating a kid’s room is very fun! It is that room in the house where no rules apply and you can let your imagination fly. It doesn’t need to match, it can be colorful and wild and patterned. Don’t be afraid to play with whimsical themes, bright colors and bold styles. These following projects are great to do for your kid’s room. I’m sure your kids will love these projects, and might even help when they can! They will also enjoy the result, and you can also have fun while making the project.
Neon wall hooks
Extra storage is always needed in a kid’s room, am I right? You can make fun little hooks of plastic toy animals, and color them anyway you want! If you don’t have a lot of floor space, using your walls for storage is a necessity. You can check out the tutorial here!
We know how important is to our kids to have a way of self-expression and get creative through drawing and creating little art pieces. A chalkboard like this is perfect to draw anything you want! It is also a good thing, that it is removable so it can be good for them through their teenager years too.
Felt cloud decoration
I can’t get over how cute this little felt cloud decoration is! This bright and fun piece will be the focal point of any kid’s room and I’m sure they will love it. It is also super easy to make, so even the kids can help with their creativity. You can turn this project into a fun family event.
This cactus stool DIY project is much easier to make than it looks! And it provides a fun way to have some seating in the kid’s room, while it looks like a toy at the same time. It can also be good for a little boy or a little girl, I think both gender would equally love it!
Toy storage crate
I couldn’t not include this cute little DIY also for kid’s storage. You see, kids really need a lot of storage! This project is originally for a nursery, but it can work in any kid’s room. It’s an awesome way to store their toys in a crate, that is interesting and fun and not basic at all. I would love to do this project, when I will have a kid!
This project sort of matches the previous one, as this one is also very cute and soft and pastel colored. These bookends are perfect for a baby’s nursery or in a little girls room with the heart and flamingo print, but you can change it for something more boy-ish to put in your little man’s room!
Teddy bear rug
This DIY teddy bear rug is so cute for the kid’s! It provides extra texture to the room and adds a soft and warm layer on the floor, where kids usually play. The other good thing about it is that you can customize it any way you like to fit the aesthetic of your kid’s room you can change the material to a completely different one.
