IKEA CHRISTMAS 2018
I know that some people think it is way too early to think about Christmas at the beginning of October. Well, I’m definitely not one of them.
I mean, we start to prepare for the Christmas season early, for example, I’m styling a photo studio tomorrow for their Christmas decoration. In business, it is never too early to prepare for the Christmas season, and I’m happy, that all the stores are bringing out their Christmas collections. Slowly. Although it is still quite hard to get all the Christmassy things because stores are just starting to bring out the collections and they will only show up later in stores. However, online shopping is my friend, and I love that I can get Christmas lights and ornaments in summer too, thanks to that!
Okay, enough about my early Christmas decor struggles and back to the collections. Of course, which can be the first store to look at? Ikea!
I think Ikea did very well this season. Their collection is so on trend with the dark hues, the dark burgundy, green and teal tones. Ikea was always playing it safe with their Christmas colors, and I’m happy they did something different this year.
Of course, we can find the traditional red and gold accessories as well, but we can certainly update our past year Ikea decor finds with some new unique bits.
You can go for some traditional wrapping paper with ribbons, like the gold combination at the top of the shelf. But you can step out of your Christmas decor comfort zone and go for a bolder polka-dotted dark blue.
I love this interior styling so much, Ikea stylists did very well this season. All the shades are in balance, and it all creates a very moody and dramatic space. Maybe a bit too dramatic, but I love some drama every now and then 🙂 and why not at Christmas?
How cool is this bunny shaped LED light? Ikea can always show us something unique and different, and if you are not satisfied with just the bunny, you will be happy to be able to combine it with the LED wreath with the two squirrels.
Fabrics and textiles are also amazing this season. The green throw blanket is the permanent collection, but the pillows certainly are not.
If you need some front door decor, or you want to hang some nice lights in your windows, Ikea will not let you down this year. Everyone can find one, that fits their aesthetic.
This one reminds me of a winter wedding decoration, but gorgeous nonetheless. And hey, if you have a wedding this winter, you can find some amazing things in Ikea!
Tableware also comes in all those beautiful dark shades, and you can definitely find some to compliment your room decor.
This collection is quite daring, but this is exactly why I like it. Finally, Ikea! Maybe if you are into a traditional Christmas decor, you will be disappointed, but for me, this is heaven.
This candle holder is everything! Love the shape, the texture, and the color, it will definitely fit a more modern Christmas decor.
