DRESSING TABLE DECOR
Do you like to get ready and do your hair and makeup in the mornings? Then please tell me, do you own a dressing table? A lot of us actually don’t care that much about it, since it is not an essential feature in our home. I understand, if you have a small space to work with, a dressing table is not your first choice of all. However, I think it is an important feature if you have enough space, and it is not only practical, but it can really elevate the look of your room.
A dressing table is mostly placed in our bedroom, or in our closet if we have a separate walk-in closet. There is just something in the feeling of sitting down in the morning with a cup of coffee, to do all your makeup and pampering, isn’t it? A dressing table will certainly make your bedroom more glamorous and elevate the style of the space. You don’t need to follow rules or anything, your dressing table can be any type of table you like, or even the top of a dresser if you don’t have space for anything else.
Good lighting is key for a dressing table since you need bright lights to do your makeup. It is not fun, when you do your makeup in the dark and then go out to the sunlight and realize it is much worse than you thought. You can go for professional makeup lights, but you can achieve the look with more bright light sconces or LED lights as well.
You don’t have space for a separate dressing table? No problem! You can create a little makeup area on the top of your dresser, and putting a mirror there, so you can get ready easily in the morning. Just make sure to choose the right height for yourself and place a chair nearby to be able to pull there, when you are putting your makeup on.
You don’t need to buy a separate dressing table. Buy a table, that can function as a desk and as a dressing table as well. Just make sure to have some drawers to put away all your makeup and necessities. You can put your makeup on before work, and take it off before bed, and in the meantime, you can use it as a workspace.
It is important to have a place for everything in your dressing table, and around it. You can use storage boxes and bins for makeup, glasses as brush holders and even some jewelry boxes.
The style of your dressing table really depends on the aesthetics of the other parts of the room. You can also go for a specific dressing table or think outside the box and choose something unique. Just make sure to make it functional as well as stylish, okay?
